Events, Talks, Gatherings and Mutual Inspiration for non-for-profit Organisations...
Having a complex health condition can leave people in fragments, disconnected, disjointed, socially-isolated and alone. Inspiration and hope can be found in being part of something bigger, like lives in a stream. This could be a personal experience within the flow of tai chi movements. Or a training tai chi group, moving together with others committed to the same cause. This may be something more, in synch with the wind, elements, turning of the seasons and the universe itself.
In addition to my fee-based work I am keen to share with non-for profit and 3rd sector organisations, my love for tai chi and its potential for health and social change. This would be at no cost in the Oxford city area, or with travel expenses covered for locations outside of Oxford. I can provide talks and short workshops for specific groups of people, perhaps as part of a bigger awareness-raising event.
I am particularly keen to work with:
- Charities and 3rd sector organisations supporting people with different disabilities
- Nature reserves and protected areas of outstanding natural beauty that seek to increase disability access/engagement with local disability-groups
- Horticultural therapy groups and projects
These collaborations are key to the Daoist focus on Tai Chi as a practice to enhance personal physical, psychological, and spiritual health, social cohesiveness and ecological awareness. Currently I have limited capacity to offer this work, but hope to widen my activities of this kind in the future. If you are interested in working with me for events of the kind listed above, do get in touch!
