Assessment Phase

This is the same for those interested in group or individual sessions. I approach this 2 hour appointment as a rehabilitation professional. The first hour involves finding out about the details of your condition, experienced difficulties since onset, plus any relevant information from your life prior to the onset of your condition. I am keen to see any assessment reports from other services at this point, that document the nature of your difficulties. I am also interested in making contact with any other clinicians who have been important in supporting your care since the onset of your injury/illness (this may have already happened if a clinician has made the original referral to me themselves). The second hour includes a brief assessment of your thinking, balance, mobility and emotions, followed by a chance to try out some of the tai chi/qi gong movements.
